Here's a rough take of a song I wrote about two years ago. The idea is basically that there's a guy who's in charge of a spaceship full of frozen people, and he's the only person left awake for a ridiculously long time. He's thinking how weird it is that his job is basically to keep functioning a group of machines whose job it is to keep HIM functioning. He's also thinking that his job sucks, and is pretty bitter about being talked into it.
Anyway, the dominant rhythm is provided by a scuba regulator, which is the exact piece of equipment that gave me the
original idea.
