Another thirty second song.  This one is an ode to my new temporary crown.

Here's a super-fast little thing I whipped out for a thirty second song contest.  No rules, except that the song has to be at or under thirty seconds.  This is thirty on the nose.

This one is for my homies

I’ve been saying for weeks that I was going to do a podcast of my friends’ music, and here it finally is. Yay!

Here’s a version I did of the Violent Femmes’ “Country Death Song”. I’ve always loved this song, so it was a lot of fun to get to do my own version. I’ll be posting more originals soon, I promise.

Big Fuckin' Sammich

This is my entry in the Musician’s Lounge Massacre, a project where a group of musicians hands around a track, and each one adds a minute or so onto the end of the bit before theirs. My team was named “Team Big Fuckin’ Sammich”, so I decided to use that as my theme. The first twenty seconds or so of this track is the end of the one before mine. My bit basically starts right when you hear me talking. Enjoy!

This is just inappropriate

Another silly cover song – this time a creepy-neighbor-in-the-elevator version of Suzanne Vega’s “Luka”.

Quite possibly the most embarassing thing I've ever recorded

All right, I’ve finally decided to break down and post this. It’s yet another silly cover for the SomethingAwful musician contests. The theme this week is “songs from the 60’s”. And of course, the greatest song of the entire decade was Leonard Nimoy’s “Ballad of Bilbo Baggins”. So the question arises: how do you take a song that’s THAT ridiculous and somehow manage to make it worse? The answer came to me like a lightning bolt from heaven: ATROCIOUS WHITE GUY RAP. And here it is.

Ska Version of The Cardigans' "Lovefool"

Yet another track for an SA contest. This one was an awful lot of fun to do, especially since it was the first ska song I’ve ever recorded.

This post was removed because I’m running out of space. Oh, and it sucked.

Nashville Superspeedway

Hi all. Work is pretty crazy right now, which is why I haven’t been updating the ol’ podcast as much as I’d like. This particular song is one from an Iron Music Chef contest on Something Awful in which people were given a theme and thirty minutes to write and record a song about said theme. The theme in this case was “Nashville Superspeedway”. The song is kinda rough in spots, but hey, thirty minutes.

Here’s a little instrumental thing I whipped together for a remix project on Something Awful. The idea was to randomly pair together isntrumental artists with remixers and see what comes out. This is my instrumental track; the eventual remix hasn’t been unveiled yet. With the remixer’s permission, I’ll post that track here too when it’s available.

On an interesting side note, this song is a human/feline collaboartion. I have a big Hammond organ in my studio, and I also have a very large, fat cat that goes by the name of Cheese. In the process of climbing onto the top of the organ to take a nap, Cheese managed to change a bunch of the settings on the organ. The keyboard sound you hear in this song is Cheese’s creation.
